The school community came alive with excitement, cheers, and colourful house flags waving proudly in the wind as students, parents, and staff gathered for one of the most anticipated events on the school calendar—the Annual Swimming Gala 2025.



The event began with an energetic opening ceremony, where house representatives marched in with pride, accompanied by their house chants and team spirit. The sense of unity and anticipation filled the air as the Principal addressed the crowd, highlighting how the Swimming Gala is not only about competition, but about courage, commitment, and community.

Soon, the water was stirring with activity as the first set of races commenced, featuring students across different age categories. Events included freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and exciting relay races. With every splash, the pool became a stage for determination and perseverance. Each student who dove in demonstrated not only physical strength, but also mental resilience, especially for those participating for the first time.

The races were filled with electric moments—photo finishes that had everyone on their feet, underdog wins that drew wild cheers, and heartwarming efforts from students who kept going despite the odds. Teachers and staff, many of whom served as timekeepers, announcers, and lane marshals, played a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of the day’s events. Student volunteers also showed great responsibility by helping with coordination, handling equipment, and encouraging their teammates.

The day began with a lively opening ceremony, followed by a series of competitive swimming events such as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and the always-thrilling butterfly. Each category saw incredible energy from students of all age groups, diving in with determination and heart. There were nail-biting finishes, inspiring first-time swimmers, and outstanding teamwork in the relays, which had everyone at the edge of their seats.

Adding to the excitement, the event featured special activities such as a treasure hunt for younger students and an entertaining water polo match, where both students and teachers showed off their playful competitive side. A highlight of the day was the Parents' Race, where mums and dads eagerly joined in, proving that the gala wasn’t just about student performance, but about strengthening the school community as a whole. The cheers grew louder as parents raced each other, bringing laughter, bonding, and joy into the mix.

As the day progressed, the poolside transformed into a vibrant space of celebration and learning. Parents, who turned out in large numbers, clapped and encouraged every swimmer—whether they won or not. Their presence added a layer of warmth and joy to the day, as many expressed their pride in seeing their children showcase talent, discipline, and bravery.

The closing ceremony was filled with beaming faces as medals, trophies, and certificates were awarded to the top swimmers and winning houses. But beyond the accolades, it was the collective achievement that truly stood out. Every student who participated walked away with newfound confidence, valuable experience, and cherished memories. In her closing speech, the Principal commended the students for their efforts, the teachers for their dedication, and the parents for their unwavering support. She reminded everyone that while competitions come and go, it is the lessons learned—teamwork, endurance, humility, and encouragement—that stay with us for life.

In the closing ceremony, medals and trophies were awarded to top performers and winning houses. Red House emerged as the overall champion, while Yellow House secured 1st runner-up and Green House proudly took 2nd runner-up. The results were met with thunderous applause and celebratory chants, a reflection of the dedication and determination shown by each house.
